Stand up to Cancer Walkies Challenge 2023 - Day Two
9.9 miles walked today
The Sun is coming out
The weather forecast earlier in the week was showing it was going to be sunny and dry. So I planned to do a long walk and left out early.
We headed for East Wickham Open Space, via Stream way.
After a quick stop at the stream way, it was plenty of road walking unil we got to the open space.
East Wickham Open Space is a great place to walk the dog. It has plenty of foot paths and the landscape varies from very well kept grass fields near the childrens play area to a small natural woodland area in the middle of the open space.
Roshy’s favourite part of the walk is the rough grassland hilly section behind the woods. He loves to run around and sniff the trees and bushes.
We met a couple of dogs including a friendly Bernese Mountain Dog, probably the largest dog Roshy has met off lead so far. And a tiny female Chihuahua who was very friendly and wanted to play with Roshy. but Roshy was not interested he was totally obsessed with his new ball.
The Sun was trying to break through the clouds and it was getting warmer. We headed back to the path we came in on and headed back home.
To my surprise, Roshy carried his ball all the way home without dropping it.
