Stand up to Cancer Walkies Challenge 2023 - Day Twenty Three
4.67 miles walked today
A rather Damp Milestone
Today was forecast to be very wet and windy. I had hoped we could dodge the rain but sadly we were unlucky.
The plan was to head for east wickham open space again.
We set out fairly early but as we reached about halfway the rain began to get quite heavy. Roshy is not a big fan of being outside in the wet so he began to sort of stop and looked up at me to say “Do we really haev to keep going.”
I turned around to head back the way we came and Roshy practically dragged me all the way home. As our luck would have it the rain began to ease off as we got a little nearer home. I did manage to get a couple of photos on the return journey.
Getting home, I realised we had just crossed over our target of 100 miles. but we were too soaked to really celebrate.
Tomorrow we head for the beach. Lets hope the weather is a little more dry.
