Introduction
So I have decided to particiate in the Stand up to Cancer Walkies challenge as a way to raise money for a great cause, get some exercise and have some fun with Roshy. I thought it would be a good idea to create a blog to document my progress.
The Challenge
The Walkies Challenge is to walk 60 miles with your dog/s during the month of April. That’s an average of 2 miles a day, but you can choose how to accumulate the miles and set your own goals. Did you know that every year, around 367,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer? By taking on this challenge, we can make a difference and help fund life-saving research.
The Plan
My plan is to walk at least 2 miles a day with Roshy each weekday and then do longer walks at the weekend. We’ll be using Strava to track our walks and stay motivated. Although I haven’t set a specific target, I’m hoping to reach at least 100 miles by the end of the challenge.
Here are the links to our social media accounts, where I’ll be sharing updates and photos of our progress:
Thank you and wish us luck.
